Cyber Sniping Gamers to Attend Crossfire

If you are a gamer living in Europe, you have probably already heard of Crossfire LAN events. The next eSport event, CIC7, is to be held in Holland on March 5th to 7th, featuring tournaments in Enemy Territory, Call of Duty 4, Quakelive and possibly a Modern Warfare 2. And yes, there is quite a nice prize purse lined up for the winners.

Two of the Cyber Snipa eSport teams, Infernal Gaming from Holland and Team Sublime from the UK, have stepped up to the challenge and are set to compete in the COD4 tournament. They may meet some stiff competition with some top European teams lined up to attend, but we know our boys are armed and ready to frag.

Both teams have been equipped by Cyber Snipa with the new Silencer Gamers Mouse, giving them the edge over the competition. We want to with both teams the best of luck and look forward to hearing about how they owned the tournament.

It is shaping up to be another premier event, so if you are in the area get on down to the WZZRD Gaming Café in Enschede, to support our teams and eSports in general. Spectators can watch the carnage for free.

In recent years have all witnessed a decline in the progression of professional gaming in Australia. We are witnessing a downturn in the quantity and quality of LAN event. You keep telling us that you are sick of one-off tournaments, sick of waiting 12 months or more to game at the WCG or other few-and-far-between annual competitions. Let’s face it, competitive gaming needs a shot in the arm. You’ve said it, we listened and have taken action to fill the void.

Seen to be the future of online Australasian eSports, it will provide a platform that specifically revolves around pinnacle gaming events. ClanSport will hold a series of online tournaments, designed to accelerate the expansion of competitive online gaming and confirm it as a truly viable spectator sport.

The competition is set to launch in August 2009, leading off with a Team Fortress 2 tournament series. Gamers will have the chance to step back from their keyboard and entrench themselves as spectators and supporters of some of Australia’s best up-and-coming professional online gaming teams. ClanSport tournaments will be fully shout casted by top online gaming radio station, including netGameRadio, and will include a multitude of tandem competitions such as Tipping & Video making competitions.
