You keep telling us that you are sick of one-off tournaments, sick of waiting 12 months or more to game at the WCG or other few-and-far-between annual competitions. Let’s face it, competitive gaming needs a shot in the arm. You’ve said it, we listened and have taken action to fill the void.
Cyber Snipa has signed on as an official sponsor of ClanSport – a competitive online gaming tournament portal. Seen to be the future of online Australasian eSports, it will provide a platform that specifically revolves around pinnacle gaming events. ClanSport will hold a series of online tournaments, designed to accelerate the expansion of competitive online gaming and confirm it as a truly viable spectator sport.
The competition is set to launch in August 2009, leading off with a Team Fortress 2 tournament series. Gamers will have the chance to step back from their keyboard and entrench themselves as spectators and supporters of some of Australia’s best up-and-coming professional online gaming teams. ClanSport tournaments will be fully shout casted by top online gaming radio station, including netGameRadio, and will include a multitude of tandem competitions such as Tipping & Video making competitions. You no longer have to be a hardcore gamer to be part of the fun!
